If I'm not mistaken, -eamar is the slender ending, and -amar is the broad ending.

éamar, amar, íomar and aíomar
íomar= verbs with two syllables that have "i or e" only as their vowels
for example
Imigh
"d'imíomar"
aíomar= verbs with two syllables and their vowels include "a,o,u"
par shampla- cheannaigh
"cheanglaíomar"
éamar= verbs with one syllable and have the vowels "i, e" only
for example- Léigh
"léamar"
amar= verbs with one syllable and have a, o, u
for example

"thugamar"
