まず初めに、私の日本語は上手くない。だから、みなさんは簡単日本語を話すことができるといいですね。

@riirii So does "to ii ne" not suitable in this sentence? I mean, does "I hope" is not necessary in Japanese unlike English?

2) Also, your Japanese version of "my Japanese is not that good" is a bit different than mine, Does my version wrong?

@Heat99 I wanna make sure, are you assuming to tell these sentences to Japanese? If so, you should say like my Japanese. The first sentence you wrote is not bad,but not natural.The second sentence,actually I thought it was a little bit strange when I looked at your English version. So can you tell me more in detail? Do you want “you guys “ to speak plain Japanese?

@riirii Well, of course I know that I will messed up my Japanese sentence somewhere and I expect someone to correct it. What my English version means is that "I tell native to go easy on me when they speak Japanese because I know my Japanese is not that good yet. I told them to speak easy / basic Japanese to me. So do you understand what I'm trying to say?

@Heat99 I translated I hope into してほしい. (And I changed subject to make it sound natural) It’s hard to explain but when I saw the whole sentence I thought I should change the subject and verb to make it better. It’s a problem of translation. In order to introduce natural Japanese I had to avoid direct translation. Is that clear?

@riirii So my sentence is a direct translation? Well, I know it tend to turn into direct translation when I try to construct a sentence. I always thought the sentence structure behave just like English. Lol, beginner mistake.

But you still don't answer my other question about - does using "too ii ne" wrong even it means "I hope"?
