Depends on if you're referring to just one or several. If you're talking about just one disease that is spreading throughout communities then it's an epidemic, but if there's several diseases spreading then it's epidemics, because you're generally talking about them as a whole. I'm sorry if this confuses you, I got a little carried away😅
