I have never heard of this word before even though I do some boxing :D To me it sounds like a typo, "boksaaja" would sound more natural, but yeah, apparently it's a thing. Can't answer any of your other questions.

It might be oldish Helsinki slang (stadin slangi), I used to do boxing pre 2010s in an old Helsinki boxing gym and the older Helsinki men in their 50s-60s used "Bokrata" word a lot. But nowadays boksata, boksaaja is more common

Yeah, I asked my friend who uses a lot of slang and has also done boxing for a long time. He had never heard of the word. Wiktionary tells it's old-fashioned:

@omma @-0db192kl kiitos! After you wrote to me I found a Finnish site it is very interesting and there are other slang words that have to do with boxing, but I don't understand who runs it or what it is based on exactly
