Question about English (US)

How do you say this in English (US)? "There's arrogance, volatility, shame, and remorse to be waded through."

The dictionary I'm looking at says that "wade throgh" can't be used in the passive. Does this mean that the sentence is wrong? If so, could you rephrase it for me, please?
