It’s not true in UK.
However, if a portion of the population are in poverty then they are less likely to be able to afford cosmetic surgery.
Therefore, a higher percentage of poor people may have misaligned teeth than rich people.
If someone has excellent hygiene and clean teeth but they are misaligned, then this would be considered normal.
