Question about English (US)

I would like to confirm the grammar rule of an article use.

When the specific place name is in a phrase, definite article "the" should not be used.

I went to Golden bar yesterday.

However, shop name already has "the", then the phrase likes:

Ex: I went to the Golden bar yesterday.

That's reason why I see both examples in the English daily life and I am confused.

So I would like to know the basic rule with example.

Your support would be appreciated.
