Question about English (US)
In this passage, does "their connection" refer to the fan subbing group, the animation studio, or both of them?
Searching for "nomad" returned results of fansubbing group that has locked outside access to its website at time of writing this. A connection to a Japanese animation studio was also made. No solid disapprovals of their connection to the screenshot have yet been made.

Truthfully, it is ambiguous. It can mean either just the studio or the studio & fansubbing group.
Had the author written “its connection” then it would have been clearer that’s it was the studio’s connection.
Had the author written “either connection” or “either of their connections” then it would have been clearly both.
However, as it stands, “their” can be read as the studio’s OR both studio’s & fansubbing group.
Ambiguity is a common challenge with the English language and with communication, in general.
