We have eras, such as the 1960s, the era of rock 'n' roll, or the era of live television shows.
Art has eras, such as the Impressionists and modernaire.
An era is generally a period of time with a specific start and a specific end, and these are both usually years or decades.
Ages are long periods of time, which could be millions of years. The Ice Age is one example. The Age of Aquarius was made popular in a song for the musical "Hair". The age of Roman domination in Europe is another example. Notice how it isn't capitalized, because it isn't an official name.

@waage_jens: bro thanks!! Nice to see you here again and again and you're welcome to stay here posting your opinions hahaha
I noticed you use 'the era of live TV shows', and in English classes in my junior I once learnt 'an age of science and technology', do you think this expression is fine? (you said ages are long periods of time, so maybe this is not really natural, is it?)
I wonder if I can say:
1.→an era of live TV show
2.→an age of live TV show
3.→an era of science and technology
4.→an age of science and technology

We live in the age of science and technology. It does not yet have an end date. It fits the definition for "age". It's a great example, in fact.
Also, all of these would be "the" not "an".
