What does 1.I understand "I was trying to stump you" means "I was trying to tell you", because Google told me "stump", esp. in the US, is used for meaning "make a speech". Am I correct?

2.I don't understand "front to back". What does that mean?

Context is;
A: Holly shit, that's from Mississippi burning. This whole idea is from Mississippi burning.
B: You know that movie? I was trying to stump you with that one.
A: Front to back. Give me a break.
