If they already know I’m looking for something, “I found it” or “I’ve found it” (means the same thing).
I might instead tell them “I found [object]”.
I might also hold up the object and say “look what I found”.

I would use both. I think I usually say “I found it” more frequently.
I might pick up the object and say “Aha! I’ve finally found you!” (It’s not alive but for fun, because I had a hard time 😅)
