Both sound natural but 今は暇 sounds more casual and would be appropriate when you speak /send a message to your friend or family. 今は暇だ would be good for a novel.

answer意味は通りますが、少し不自然に思います。 この場合だと、はっきりと「遠慮しておきます」のほうが自然だと思いますが、 少しやさしく断りたい場合は、「遠慮させていただきます。」とへりくだったほうが良いと思います。
- 「時間を無駄にも程があるよ」 「どんなに勉強したくないにも程があるよ、明日受験なんだ」 と言う表現は自然ですか？
