@Soh760 Quite common in spoken English. It’s definitely something I say. (It may vary depending on which part of the country as we have quite a lot of dialects).
I use it like: “those two are at loggerheads with each other, they are never going to agree about this”.

Most people would say "at ends with."
Yours sounds like an expression used for the technique of imagery (in literature) i.e. you can picture two people butting heads.
A loggerhead is slang for a thick headed or stupid person.
People don't use it much in speech but I reckon people would understand if you said it.
