What is the difference between i mÄndags and förra mÄndagen ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

I believe that in the above, the first example means, 'last Monday' and the second, 'the Monday before last'.
However, I've just encountered, "förrförra veckan" being translated as, *the week before last". Please could someone explain why there are two versions of, "...before last" ? Tack.

I mĂ„ndags - My British friends and I use to say âOn mondayâ to this one which is also âPĂ„ mĂ„ndagâ.
Förra mÄndagen - Last monday
Förrförra mÄndagen - The monday before last

@erorikoka28 Thanks. So would you say that the expression, 'i mÄndag', although translating as, 'last Monday' could actually just mean, 'on Monday' if you are still in the same week, ie, you said this on say, Wednesday ? However, if you meant the Monday of the previous week, then you would use, 'förra mÄndagen' ? Meaning that, 'förrförra mÄndagen' is referring to the Monday before that ? This is really tricky !

Itâs tricky, but you got the hang of it!
What's also really tricky for foreigners is the fact that Swedes refer to weeks by the number of the weeks.
