Maybe my explanation is not based on correct Japanese grammars but I think it like this て includes 'then' or 'and' for example. Please go and buy some soda 行ってソーダを買って来てください。Please go to a convenient store, then buy some soda. コンビニに行って、ソーダを買って来てください。And if you use ます, you should put a period after ます。I go to a convenient store and buy some soda. コンビニに行きます。そしてソーダを買います。
