mmm well hki as the whole Finland is expensive but I can ask my sister I think she is renting in airbnb my former room. The cheapest thing would be just booking in airbnb. Give it a try there a good neighborhood would be Kallio it is quite close to downtown(Keskusta) coz for instance we live in Kapyla which is near HKI center but still that you have 7 km walks to the very heart of the city and the train costs 3,20โฌ every time you get on it if you don't have the comuting monthly ticket so you will pay in trains what you save up in rooms

so that is why O would rather stay in the center orrrrr hire a bike. In case my sister is renting my former room I think we had a couple of bikes in the backyard

I only know Helsinki attractions, so here comes my top list: Suomenlinna, Seurasaari (both historical islands), Tuomiokirkko, Lรถyly (new traditional sauna with dining and ice swimming), Esplanadi (park close to tuomiokirkko), Kallio (city part near centrum, if you are into cheaper bars and restaurants and sorta artsy/hipster feeling), Tรถรถlรถnlahti and just strolling around tรถรถlรถ, punavuori or near esplanadi for just seeing fancy old buildings. I feel like Helsinki has more to offer at summer but these are the places I could think of. If you have specific things you would want to see, like arts or music etc, ask away. โ๏ธ

If you have a lot of time and if you can go to many places, I'd like to add to those lists Heureka, Vapriikki and Sรคrkรคnniemi. Heureka and Vapriikki are like museums and Sรคrkรคnniemi is an amusement park๐ Also if you want to camp/sleep in a tent, Helvetinkolu would maybe be a nice place๐
