The expression is “stay in bed”. Stay in the bed is literal and expresses the idea that you want to stay in a specific bed.

so we could say both sentences then? because ''in bed'' is an expression and we could say ''in the bed'' because we mean our one specific bed that we have at home

If you don’t want to get up in the morning you say “I want to stay in bed” or “I think I’ll stay in bed for a while”
The specific bed is not specific to your house. I can’t think of any situation where you’d say “I want to stay in THE bed.” Even if you were at a hotel or sleeping at a friend’s house you’d still say “in bed.”
