The second is more common and is used in routine situations. “When I finish junior high school, I will be going to a new school for 10th grade and on.” The first is more emphatic. “If I don’t get satisfaction from this school, I will go to a new school”

the first is literally a one-time event (even though most will understand it to be continual); the second is actually written as a continuing verb, as in "from now on, I will be going to a new school."
