Question about Japanese
How do you say, "I made a typo" in Japanese?
Usually if we make a typo we just retype it and add a * at the end to say that was what we wanted to say.
For example, "I aet chicken"
↳ate*
Is there something similar in Japanese or do you just say スペルミス?

スペルミス only means misspelling and it doesn't really mean a typo. I usually just say 間違えました (I made a mistake) without clarifying that it's a typo. Only if I have to clarify it, I'd say "打ち間違えました" (I made a mistake while typing).
Asterisks are not used in Japanese. I think there are several ways for correction. This is an example:
A:アメリカに生きます。
B:???
A:「アメリカに行きます」です。すいません
