@PierreLei I'm American and I've never seen it. But then again, some Chinese people's English is verified better than mine. Also, I looked it up, seems not to be pretty common, so maybe it's better not use it that often because it might confuse people like me.
I think native speakers may know about the idiom "bad news travels fast" more than "Good news travels slowly, bad news has wings" cuz I saw the first one in the free dictionary: https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/bad+news+t.... Anyway, its just a way to express your thought, so you can be creative, just like this quote.
