There was this meme that a student recorded teachers’ reaction calling the teachers with their first names. So obviously it’s something wrong to do in the states.
I was wondering 1. Is it impolite in every english native culture? 2. If you call them with their surnames, how do you know if she’s miss or mrs? Do they let you know and you memorize them?

Answer to one: I would say almost everywhere in the United States you should call a teacher by their last name.
Answer to two: Miss./Ms. are if the women is unmarried and Mrs. is if she is married. Sometimes you won't know if they are married and they might not tell you, so I would call the Miss./Ms., but a teacher won't be offended if you use the wrong form.
