@doraemon0627 That's funny, I originally thought you did, then I changed it.
You want to know about the Past Perfect?
"We had already started cooking"
"He was tired because he hadn't slept well."
"He had already presented perfectly when he called." :^)
This is an action that already occurred even more in the past than the other past tense verb. It uses "has/had not".
"I had saved my files before the power went out."

@SelfSimilarJosh thank you. So can I use past perfect to talk about experience or just past before past?
He had already arrived when I got there.
I had never seen movie when I was 5.
Are these sentence correct?
He had already arrived when I got there.
I had never seen movie when I was 5.
Are these sentence correct?

@doraemon0627 Those are both correct, well done. I feel like this tense confuses a lot of non-native speakers so it's great to see how well you understand it.
Maybe I can ask if Korean has anything similar?

@SelfSimilarJosh It is very confusing for me yet 😅. There is past before past in Korean but there is no present prefect(like : I have never seen) nor past prefect(like : I had never seen).

@doraemon0627 I have noticed that English takes a lot of care in describing the order of past events. It's something I really like about the language, but it seems to confuse a lot of learners. I appreciate your answer as well.
