I recently saw a video on YouTube and there was a sentence in subtitles "I think it is time for a coffee" So I wonder, is it correct to use indefinite article "a" here? As far as I know "coffee" is an uncountable noun and uncountable nouns don't follow by indefinite articles. Or are there any exceptions?

They specifically mean “a cup of coffee” or “a drink of coffee” but the cup/drink part is implied so it is left out. That is how you get just “a coffee”.
