@Joe188 "did" is very related to context. If you're asking "Did you have a personal trainer?" then usually there's a conversation related to that beforehand.
But if you ask "Have you had a personal trainer?" it's natural to ask without context.
In some cases "Have" and "Did" are interchangeable

Do you have? is asking if you have a personal trainer now. Have you had? is asking if you have had a personal trainer in the past or sometime before now.
