Only Jim Morrison would know, I think. It’s probably an actor who loans himself out for bit parts such as commercials.

In the old days of Hollywood, actors were tied to certain studios by contract. An actor under contract only made movies for that studio. If another studio wanted to make a movie with that actor, the contract studio might "loan" him or her to the other studio for that movie only. The actors had no rights and didn't decide what movies to be in. They were kind of lost and wandering around, like a dog without a bone. Besides, it rhymes.
