Overturn is funny in this case because it's a word we normally use for situations like when a large truck crashes in the road and rolls over. Then cars start pointing in all different directions and it looks like chaos.
Cats, of course, are masters of chaos :) So to say that your cats are overturned makes it sound like a chaotic pile of cats, which is somehow funny and perfect.
You should be proud! Your English is good and you already made the language a little bit better with your creation today.
