"Presage" is sometimes a noun, but it's usually a verb. "Threat" is a noun. The verb form of "threat" is "threaten".
"To threaten" means to warn someone that a bad thing will happen. It is a negative word.
To presage means to predict a future event. It is a more neutral word.
"Threaten" is always used when a person promises to do a bad thing.
Example: "Mr. Smith threatened to punch me if I didn't return his beach ball."
"Presage" is used only for warnings which don't come from people. For example:
"The dark skies presaged a rainy night."
You cannot say, "He presaged to punch me." That's incorrect.
However, sometimes we treat events like people.
Example: "Threatening clouds gathered on the horizon." This is correct.

Sure! I'll help you with the question.
And yes, you could probably use them together or interchangeably in the same sentence
However, those two words are nearly synonyms and almost mean the same thing.
Presage and threat are like a foreshadows, they can both take place in the future tense. A presage is like an outcome of a warning though, and a threat is an indication that will have a negative outcome.
Look at this example sentence:
The threats he received was a somber presage of his major injuries.
