Question about English (US)
In the recording, did he say
"the entire air passage LINED between the..."
or
"the entire air passage LINE between the..."
Reference:
- The vocal cords, two folds of muscle in your throat, vibrate creating a sound wave and this sound wave then passes through your vocal tract, which is the entire air passage 【lined】 between the vocal cords and the mouth or nose. Now, as it passes through, it kind of bounces around inside the vocal tract, off of your tongue, you jaw, the roof of your mouth.
Thank you! :)

@VictoriaY Thank you! :)
The D isn't very clear, but "line" wouldn't make sense in this context. 😅

Thank you for the added context!
He's saying "lined," which in this case is being used as a verb to describe the position of the air passage.
"Lined" in this context, means "aligned" or "formed along." :)

@sahilstudio Appreciate your help!🤓🤓
With respect, may I ask do you really hear that D sound in the end of "line".🤣🤣
The text of my listening material here is "lined", but (1)sometimes these texts can go wrong, plus (2)I really didn't hear the D sound. That's why I suspect that it's "line".🤣🤣

Idk I think he said “line”. He was talking about how the sound wave passes through your vocal tract. In the clause after that, he explains what your vocal tract is. It’s the “entire air passage line”. “Air passage” is being used as an adjective to modify “line”. “Lined” doesn’t really make sense here in my opinion.

@bsloan7 Thank you for the explanation, I definitely see how "line" would work now!
I can still also see how "lined" would work, but the usage in this context would be fairly awkward, so I think you're right — thank you! :)
