@Andr_Silva The word film isn’t as common in the US as it is in the UK, but it does just mean to use a camera/phone/video device to capture video. In England, film is used as both an object (a “movie”) and where an American would use the verb “to record” or “to shoot”. Here are ways you could use it, and then the way someone in the US might normally say it:
Can you film what’s happening and send it to me? Can you record what’s happening and send it to me?
I can’t film my own girlfriend. I can’t record my own girlfriend.
The director decided to film the scene on-location in Brazil. The director decided to shoot the scene on-location in Brazil.
Part of the film “Star Wars” was filmed in Tunisia. Part of the movie “Star Wars” was recorded (or shot) in Tunisia.
