Question about English (US)
Please check and correct my essay!!!!
Recently, I've worked a part-time job every other day to capture the time for studying. Yesterday, I worked for 6 hours. It is usual for me. But, I wondered if I was tired considerably more than ever before. My routine is playing a smartphone game for about a half-hour before bed. However, I didn't play it and fell asleep early.

Recently, I've worked a part-time job every other day to make time for studying. Yesterday, I worked for 6 hours. That's usual for me. But I wonder if I'm considerably more tired than (ever) before. My regular routine is to play a game on my smartphone for about a half-hour before bed, however, this time I didn't and just fell asleep early.

Well, we don't say "to capture time" in this kind of context. It sounds very unnatural.

You're trying to express 時間を掴むため, right?
"To make time" is the most common.
後は、
"To carve time" if you want to use a more expressive idiom .

@soupdumpling Yes, I wanted to express this meaning. I've never heard of" To carve time". Next, I'd like to use this idiom. Thank you for sharing good information.

Oh, I was just about to add this for you, but "to capture time" is used for more poetic, romantic or nostalgic contexts.
Like if you want to say to your child that you don't want them to grow up too quickly, or to a lover that you wish you could capture this moment forever, etc. But for something like making time to study English, "to capture time" feels a little out of place.
