Difference between gone and went:
gone is the past tense of go
we go to the store.
we have gone to the store.
went is the opposite of came
the storm came in quick.
the storm went away quick.
You should use came and went.

They mean essentially the same thing but with a slight difference.
How fast this month has gone by. Iād say this in the last week of the month as youāre anticipating the last day of the month. This is the present perfect tense and is used when something happened in the past but is continuing on into the present. In the last week of the month youāre still in the month (this the connection to the present).
How fast this month went by. Iād say this on the last day of the month because the month is essentially over but because you say āTHIS monthā the month is not completely over yet. This is the simple past tense, used to state that something happened in the past and thereās no real connection to the present.
