@Sun_oaycp6JjhhfSQYXG This is describing what they are doing at the present moment, watching A film. This is a textbook and no one would ever say this. It would make sense if it said
We are watching a film at the cinema.
We watch a film = very unnatural

@Sun_oaycp6JjhhfSQYXG Iâve noticed that many textbooks include sentences that no native speaker would ever say. đ
âa filmâ can certainly be said but in a different context than in your book. In your bookâs example it should be âwatchingâ instead of âwatchâ
We watch a film every Friday night.
This means on a regular basis we watch a film.
On Mondays I ride my bike.
Iâm riding my bike right now.

I like to cook (do something) is the simple present tense and uses the infinitive after "I like"
I like to ride my bike
I like to study
I like to sleep
I like cooking (doing something) is using what's called the gerund of the verb "to cook" --- cooking is the gerund of the verb and acts like a noun. Cooking is the noun and is the subject of the verb "to like"
I like riding my bike
I like studying
I like sleeping
They mean the same thing. It's two different ways to express the same idea.
