之后在时间上过渡比较短，一般可以理解为即将到来的事情。
如：我洗完衣服之后再刷碗。 给人印象是洗完衣服马上去刷碗。
以后在时间过渡上可以比较长，可以理解为将来要发生的事情。
如：我洗完衣服以后再刷碗。 这里并没有给人，明确的时间感，也可以是明天再刷碗。
并且之后的范围很大，不仅可以叙述现在与未来，也可以叙述发生过的事情，如：在某个事件发生之后…
而以后叙述的是现在与未来，如：从今以后，十年以后。
