Close! Both of the adjectives come from the verb "to bore". When something is -ing, that means it is carrying out that action. Is -ed is the passive form, so it means that the action was carried out on it.
If this sentence is true:
This book bores me.
Then all of these sentences are true:
This book is boring me.
This book is boring.
I am bored by this book.
I am bored.
