Question about English (US)

Hello, I study English and have a question about a word “flip”.

I wondered what this word means as a verb, so I googled, then there were written the meaning and a example.
Meaning: “move, push or throw (something) with a sudden quick movement”
Example: “she flipped off her black glasses”.

Does this “Flip off” mean almost the same with taking off glasses?
I know flip off has another meaning, you know?
So I’m so confused.
