正确的读法应该是mu2ban3。但是，因为模在"模特"中发音为mo2。在读“模板”时，很多人会读错，不过意思大家都懂，也就将错就错了。（用电脑打字时，输入moban也会给你跳出模板的选项的）

Yes. There are a great many examples like this in Chinese where standard pronunciation is different from usual and common pronunciation.
In some cases, the common but nonstandard pronunciation is actually incorrect and considered wrong as well, for example: 狡黠jiao3jie2 (standard pronunciation is jiao3xia2), 角色jiao3se4 (standard: jue2se4), 骰子shai3zi(standard: tou2zi)
In other cases, most people are perfectly okay with the "incorrect" pronunciation and sometimes it would even seem strange to pronounce the character "correctly". For example, 祈求qi3qiu2(standard: qi2qiu2), 卡住ka3zhu4(standard: qia3zhu4), 模板mo2ban3, 蛋挞dan4ta3(standard: dan4ta4)
