on a blog someone posted "내일 저녁 식사에 먹고 싶어요" and i'm confused on the usage of 에 in the sentence. i only know 에 for time and location, is there another way to use 에, or is it used incorrectly here?

First of all '-에' can be used with events or incidents as well!

늦잠을 자서 수업에 늦었다.
I overslept and thus was late for class.
But in the blog post you mentioned I'm not sure what the writer was trying to say.
Maybe he/she was talking about a kind of food? For example,
이 치즈는 아꼈다가 내일 저녁 식사에 먹고 싶어요.
I'd like to keep this cheese, and eat it for dinner tomorrow.
Would that be the case? Otherwise the use of '-에' might have been an error - a typo perhaps.

@jayeml Ahh then I guessed it right!
However judging from the small errors in the phrases you shared, I believe it was not written by a native speaker. 🙂 Maybe someone who's learning the language wrote it for practice?
It has to be like this to sound more natural:
김밥을 만들었어요.
I made 김밥.
아주 맛있었어요.
It was very delicious.
그리고 또 도 있어요.
And there is also ____.
(the subject is missing)
내일 저녁 식사로 먹고 싶어요.
I'd like to eat it for dinner tomorrow.
('-에' is okay, but '-로' goes better here 🙂)
