I think “edible” reffers rather to their quality of being poisonous/not poisonous.

@dragneana I want to know if I can use : digestible mushrooms or fruit, the same as, edible mushrooms or fruit? Can I use edible or digestible, but when the food is not poisonous?

to be honest I’ve never encountered it like this. So I think it’s best you just stick to the usual way of saying :) Just “edible”, I mean.
