Does this sound natural in English?
I'm not into art and I haven't used the pen table for more than note-taking, however I would like to give drawing a try because I read it may help with depression and anxiety which I'm dealing with.

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘pen table’ - that doesn’t make sense in English.
‘But’ would be more natural than ‘however.’
‘I have read’ rather than ‘I read’
