痛み分けですが、由来はその通りです。
相撲以外で使う場合は、例えばケンカ(主に口喧嘩)や議論をした時にお互いに痛手(傷)があったけれど決着がつかない時に『今回は痛み分けということにしましょう』という感じで使います。
痛みを分かち合うというより、お互いに痛みはかなりあったけれど今回は一度終わりにして分かれましょう、という感じでしょうか。

@eskun ご回答ありがとうございます！アイコン、カッコイイですね！痛み分けは初耳ですね、調べてみたら、相撲に由来した用語だそうです。相撲以外の場合でも使えますか？他の意味持ちはありますでしょうか？痛みを分かち合うとか？（文字見て勝手な発想ですが、、）
