In my self experience, we do study history of Japanese occupation in school.

However, I don’t think that young generation will therefore be interested in日語世代’s background.

The most common and easiest way for young people to know 日語世代’s backgrounds will be simply chat with grandparents, I suggest, which will be harder to accomplish as time passes.
