Question about English (US)

I found this sentence in an online dictionary and cannot understand the first clause. It feels like something is missing in the first half.
"Much sought-after on the international music circuit, the conductor’s versatility and broad repertoire have taken her to symphony and chamber orchestras, contemporary music ensembles, and opera houses across the world."

Thank you so much in advance! I really want to understand this structure.
