What does 単純に、いっぱいあるからだったような･･･。地名と同じ苗字って結構あるじゃないですか。それで絞れば、ネットで調べた時にすぐ出てきそうだな、と思って mean?

In the book I'm reading, I think the mangaka refers to creating the names of his characters based on places in Japan, but I don't quite understand if that's correct.

The author seems to have taken the name from the hot spring resort in the prefecture where the team's high school is located. He doesn’'t have to think about it, just choose it. Since most prefectures in Japan have hot springs, it is easy to use them to set up names.

Nobles in the capital took place names, such as the name of the street of their house. Monks and priests took the names of the temples and shrines they served. The common people often used their occupational name as their family name. There are more than 120,000 different surnames in Japan.

名前が温泉地シリーズもここからですかね。何で温泉地だったんですか?
I don't understand whether you are referring to hot springs or a temple.
