Si, al poner Perteneciente, Perteneciendo solo cambias la forma de decir la palabra pero en si el significado es lo mismo.

@AlexiaFoster Se podrían usar como estos ejemplos? "la orca perteneciendo a la familia Delphinidae es una especie de cetáceo" y "la orca es una especie de cetáceo perteneciente a la familia Delphinidae"? I think maybe you use perteneciente specifically with ser/estar?

El primero es pertenece, de ahí lo demás está bien :)

Perteneciendo es el verbo en gerundio, es decir, la realización del verbo. Por ejemplo estoy comiendo, corriendo. Pero este verbo no es muy usual utilizarlo de esa forma, sería en presente simple como pertenece o como adjetivo " perteneciente"
