Your sentence is correct, but I must mention that in USA, it is singular ("I love math") and in other English speaking countries, it is plural ("I love maths").
"My math teacher said..." or "My maths teacher said.."
"I have a math test tomorrow" or "I have a maths test tomorrow".
If you don't shorten the word, it is ALWAYS plural.
"I love to do mathematics."
"I have a mathematics test tomorrow."
"My mathematics teacher said...".
