Best thing is the mate-ship. Whenever we have a disaster, people in the community volunteer to help out. First time I ever feel proud to be an Australian was when the Black Saturday bushfire in Victoria. People just open up their houses to victims (total strangers). Help came in from everywhere.
Worst thing is the politicians. I can't even name one that is not a d**khead.

Minimum $1 million close to the city. Even some houses 40 minutes out of the city are more than $1 million.

Yep, it's true. Melbourne housing price are very high as well. Not as high as Sydney but still unaffordable. I think for 1mil, you only get a small 2 bedroom house.

@Nene123 u mean Melbourne better than Sydney? Hell yeah! Lol anyway i grew up in Melbourne, so I'll choose it anytime. For food and festivals, I think Sydney is better.

@5kipp3r That's funny because us Sydney-siders assume the food and music culture is better in Melbourne. Having said that I have never been to Melbourne to compare.

@harkbel ohh really? I do know that there are lots of Korean food restaurant in some part of Sydney and are very good. Maybe it's just me cuz I really love Asian food. Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and Malaysian food specifically. No offense but most of these food are prepared by Chinese here in Melbourne. Yep, my Asian side becomes stronger whenever it comes to food 😂
As for festival or events, there were a couple of international airshows that I missed. And you guys have the biggest New Year's eve's fireworks.

@5kipp3r Asian food is my favourite also and there are definitely some great places here - especially once you get out of the city centre. Love authentic Korean and Chinese food.
In exchange for the airshows I'll take your Melbourne based musicians like The Living End so we get more local gigs :)
