Question about English (UK)

Hi, there.
I'd like to know how to say the following stuff more naturally.
Could you please tell me how you would say?
Thank you in advance :)

Isn't it kind of tricky when using "Mae and Ato/Ushiro" in Japanese?

If they use "Mae" when talking about what is in front of them, they also use "Mae" when talking about the past.

Sometimes, they also say "The future is "Mae" (right in front) of you" ,

but, they also use "Ato" for things they plan todo in the future and say "I'll do 〇〇 'Ato de' (later)".

I'll try to explain such complicated "Mae and Ato/Ushiro" today.
