Does this sound natural?
Today,l have to take my dog to the animal hospital. I went for a walk and went to the animal hospital. But there was so crowded that I waited for about an hour. We have a lot of walking during the time.
By the way, the dog was no big deal.

Today, l had to take my dog to the vet. I went for a walk with my dog and then went to the vet. But it was so crowded there that I waited for about an hour. We walked a lot today.
By the way, the dog is fine.
(Please note, here "fine" does not mean 元気. "Fine" here means "safe" or "unharmed." Despite what Japanese schools teach, in real life, "fine" almost never means 元気 haha)

Thank you for your comment!
I’ve never heard the word “vet”. I learn it!
The addition about “fine” is also very useful!
I remember that my junior high English lesson started with
“How are you?
Fine thank you, and you?
Very well thank you.”
And the lessons were rarely useful, especially in speaking and listening .^^;

@boruto66 "Vet" is short for "veternarian." :) We do have animal hospitals, but they're only for very serious problems that a regular vet can't solve. It's like the ER (Emergency Room) for pets.
Haha yeah, I work at a Japanese Junior High School and "fine=元気" is everywhere. I try my best to teach the students that it's not true! haha
