There's no set rule. We just wear the types of clothes that makes the decisive impression on the others who are attending the event. American women and men dress this way. We have so many different types of dress attire depending upon the type of event: Business meeting, wedding, funerals, romantic date, and so on. Many American women own both types of these suits and they wear one type to one event and the other type to another event. Shoes and hats are just as elaborate as garments.
