“Be like” viene del inglés vernáculo afroamericano, un dialecto que tiene una gramática diferente de la estándar. En un dialecto más “neutro” se diría “is like” pero como este es un meme, mantiene su forma dialectal original.
Es decir, “be like” se dice en un dialecto no estándar del inglés. Sin embargo, lo usan los que no hablan ese dialecto porque es un meme.
